Community Events:

June 8th 2011: Two exciting events for Teens4Oceans on WORLD OCEAN DAY. Happy birthday, Ocean!

Firstly, four representatives from the organization (Emily Griffith, Allison Kolberg,  Keegan Cross, and Nate Newman) were interviewed on the radio by KGNU. CLICK HERE to listen (or right-click and save file).

Secondly, T4O worked the Colorado Ocean Coalition booth at the Boulder Farmers' market from 4pm – 8pm. Thank you to everyone (and especially to Vicki Nichols Goldstein) who supports the coalition and came to draw and play fish taxonomy games! It was awesome.

May 19th 2011: "An Evening with Louie Psihoyas". Teens4Oceans organized a fundraising event with the Academy Award Winning documentary director, Louie Psihoyos. Louie's organization, the Oceanic Preservation Society, produced and directed "The Cove", a film about dolphin slaughter (and the secrecy behind it) in Taiji, Japan. After a wonderful presentation by Louie and Teens4Oceans' Youth Advisory Co-Chair, Sofia Rainaldi, the organization held a silent auction, raising $24,000.
